A Compression Spring is an open-coil helical spring that offers resistance to a compressive force applied axially. They may be cylindrical, conical, barrel shaped, or concave in form. There are four different end types for a compression spring; the most common being closed and ground. Other end types include closed only, open only, and open and ground.OmniCoil Spring Works Inc. specializes in the design and manufacture of custom compression springs of all sizes and types. Our vast array of in-stock materials includes stainless steel, music wire, chrome silicon, hard drawn, and oil tempered wire, allowing for quick lead times.
